BAJA, John Daniel, age 43, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021. He was born in Dearborn, Michigan on December 2, 1977, to Gregg and Betty (Parsons) Baja. He was known for his charming charisma, generosity and smile. He brought so much love and light into this world. John was dubbed one of Crestwood High's soccer superstars who frequented the newspaper with his triumphs on the field. His love of country brought him to serve for the United States Marine Corps. Semper Fi! After moving from Dearborn Heights, Michigan in 2001, he worked as a corrections officer in law enforcement. John was an avid golfer and loved to fish. He was a rabid University of Michigan college football fan. GO BLUE! Foremost, John was a family man and loved spending time with his boys.
John is survived by his wife: Shannon, of Spring Hill, Florida; sons: Jonathon, Matthew, and Noah all of Spring Hill, Florida; and Jachob of Rochester, New York parents: Gregg and Betty Baja, of Spring Hill, Florida; brother & sister-in-law: Jeff & Lori Baja, of Traverse City, Michigan; sister & brother-in-law: Shelly & Abraham Paskowitz, of Mission Viejo, California; three nieces and five nephews.
John will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His smile will continue to shine upon all of us through our shared memories. Please continue to pray for his entire family for strength and peace for the future ahead.
Visitation for friends will be 3:00 - 4:00pm, Sunday, November 28, 2021 at the Merritt Funeral Home Spring Hill Chapel, where funeral services will begin at 4:00pm, with John's aunt, Debi Tucker, officiating.
