CARTER, Jeanette “Jean”, 87, of Brooksville, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 15, 2020.
She was born August 18, 1933 in St. Clair Shores, Michigan and was a longtime resident of Brooksville. She was a devoted wife and mother who took great pride in her family. She was a devout Christian, a founding member of Faith Presbyterian Church in Brooksville, and an avid Gator fan.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Steve Carter; parents, Thomas and Goldie Barney; sisters, Helen, Shirley, Joyce, Irene, and Jerry; brothers, Russell, Fritz, and Butch. She is survived by her children, Sarah Eaton (Mike), Sandy Fickett (Bobby), and Tommy Carter (Lisa); sisters, Elsie Nalepa and Bea Mowry; beloved grandchildren, Robert Fickett (Nicole), SarahJean Spook (Alex), Thomas Fickett, Stephen Carter, Matthew Carter, Harrison Carter, Juliann Carter, and Sabrina Carter; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Eaton and Abigail Eaton.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00pm, Monday, November 30, 2020 at Faith Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Dave Franklin officiating. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
