Obituary

BERTOS, Emilie Rosemary, age 97, of Spring Hill, Florida died Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at her home. She was born in Luxembourg and came to the area 11 years ago from Babylon, Long Island, New York.

She was a secretary with the U.S. Government and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. She danced with the American Ballet and the New York City Ballet. She was an inventor and had great ideas, loved cooking and was a great wife and mother.  

Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Albert Bertos, she is survived by her daughters: Susan Schena of New York; Barbara Anne Daley of Florida; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. 

Visitation for friends and family will be from 3-5:00pm, Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill chapel. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am, Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Father Jose George celebrant.
