CHIUSA, Antonio, age 82, of Spring Hill, Florida died Thursday June 9, 2022 in New York. He was born in Brooklyn. New York and came to the area 32 years ago from Farmingdale, Long Island, New York. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and area operations manager with Verizon. Antonio was a parishioner of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church where he was a longtime usher and very active in many charitable activities with the church. He was 4th degree Knight of Columbus for fifty plus years and was a passionate carpenter, gardner, artist (painting) and stained glass. He was a patriot.
Preceded in death by sister, Connie LeConte; also son, Frank Chiusa; he is survived by wife: Sheila Mary Meech Chiusa of Spring Hill, Florida; sons and daughters-in-law: David Chiusa of Normanna, Texas; Anthony and Sandie Chiusa of West Islip, New York; Philip and Kelly Chiusa of Spring Hill, Florida; daughter and son-in-law: Jo-Ann and Tom DiCarlo of Farmingdale, Long Island, New York; daughter-in-law: Maja Chiusa of Williston Park, New York; nine grandchildren: T.J., Matthew, Christopher, Karrina, Steven, Alyssa, Philip, A.J. and Audrey; three great-grandchildren: Sklylar, Brielle, and Leo.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 2-5:00pm, Monday, June 20 2022 with a wake service at 4:00pm at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill chapel. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00am, Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
