ANNTOINETT DELOIS BROOKINS

ANNTOINETT DELOIS BROOKINS, 75, of Brooksville, FL went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday June 2, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 8, 1945 in Windsor, Virginia to the late Sarah P. Parham and James M. Brown Sr.
She grew up in Isle of Wight County Virginia and received her elementary education at Georgie Tyler School. Ann accepted Christ at Mount Olive Holiness Church as a teenager which was right down the road. She worked as a machine operator at Hahnenann University Hospital in Philadelphia. Ann married the late Burrell Palmer on October 3,1962 and to this union two children were born her twins Travis and Tracy.
Ann moved from Philadelphia to Central Islip, New York in 1970. She later married Willis J. Brookins and they had two boys Eric and David. She became a member of Faith Baptist Church in Coram, New York under the leadership of Reverend Robert K. Long. She worked as a seamstress for over 15 years making bathing suits.
They had a boat and she liked Porgy fishing and sewing. She also loved cooking and baking from scratch. Ann had a stroke in December of 1986 and her husband Willis retired 8 years later. They enjoyed retirement and moved to Spring Hill, FL in August of 2000. She joined a bowling league called the Pin Pals and played Pokeno. Ann’s hobbies were coloring in her coloring book and doing puzzles on her tablet.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents her three brothers James Brown Jr., Lawrence Brown, Charles Brown and her three sisters Sandra Collins, Vivian Collins and Kathy Silvers.
Ann leaves to cherish her memories her loving and devoted husband, Willis J. Brookins Jr. of Brooksville, FL who have been together for 35 years; her sons, Travis A. Palmer (Agnes) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Eric W. Brookins of Central Islip, NY, and David J Brookins (Karen) of New Port Richey, FL; her daughter, Tracy A Davis of Brooksville, FL; two grandchildren, Sayquan M. Davis and Janelle P. Palmer; two sisters, Sharon Hill of Windsor, VA and Christine Townsell of Windsor, VA; two fur grand babies, Pepper Davis and Snuggles Palmer; and a host of family and friends.
The family would like to express our sincere gratitude and thanks to our many friends for their acts of love and kindness to us during this time of bereavement. Your prayers, calls, texts, condolences, visits, floral tributes and other gestures of love and concern are graciously received and appreciated.
