HAZIVASILIS, William “Bill”, 90, of Brooksville, Florida, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019.
He was born August 3, 1929 in Symi, Greece and came to Brooksville 46 years ago from Tarpon Springs, Florida. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and worked as a warehouse foreman for Southdown currently known as CEMEX. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruby Alice Hazivasilis. He is survived by his sons and daughter, Demetri Hazivasilis of Brooksville, Florida, Anton Legoo (Linda) of Chassahowitzka, Florida and Ruby Turner (Lester); grandchildren: Jennifer Haley, Anton Thomas Legoo Jr., William Hazivasilis, Daniel Hazivasilis, Nicholas Hazivasilis and Matthew Hazivasilis; great-grandchild: Suki Haley.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:30am-12:30pm, Friday, November 1, 2019 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, where Funeral Services will be begin at 12:30pm, with Father John Lazarek officiating. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery, with military honors.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to HPH Hospice.
