McDaniel, Vernon Carter (V.C.), of Brooksville, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Advent Health-Tampa. He was born on July 4, 1948 in Pickens County Georgia. He moved to Tampa, Florida 54 years ago, where he met and married his loving wife of 53 years, Diane S. McDaniel. Together they had four children. The family home of 30 plus years was just outside of Brandon; where he provided diligently for his family with his wife as owners of multiple convenient stores.
Vernon is preceded in death by his son, Troy Carter McDaniel. He is survived by his wife, Diane McDaniel and his three children: son, Cory D. McDaniel; daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa & Jeff Flowers of Brooksville, Florida and Jennifer & Jeff Reinert of Winter Haven, Florida; four grandchildren, Kayla and Austin Hilliard and Colby and Brady Flowers; nephew (thought of as a son), Larry Bell and his wife, Ashley Bell, with daughter Madison of Sarasota, Florida; brothers and sisters-in-law: Tommy & Brenda McDaniel and Ivan & Janice McDaniel; sister, Bonnie Haynes.
Vernon was of the Baptist faith who full-heartedly loved his family. His grandchildren brought pure joy to his life. Together with his wife, Diane, they devoted their life to their family and spent their later years being actively involved in the lives of each of their children and grandchildren. The seed of their marriage blossomed in the life and relationships they built together around their grandchildren. He has provided his family with a lifetime of memories of which we will carry along to the next generation. He carried out his role of a father and grandfather until the very end.
We ask in lieu of flowers, to please provide us with your prayers for the healing of our deep loss.
