Richard “Ric” Avery (aka Antonio Addario), 66, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack in the early morning hours on Saturday, September 21, 2019, with his wife, Cat, by his side. He was recently married to Cat in July 2019 and was living in Brooksville, Florida and had been living his most exciting life ever at the time of his death. The couple had just returned from their honeymoon cruise, and over the past year Ric and Cat shared many amazing “firsts” together - giving Ric overwhelming amounts of love and joy.
Ric was born June 7, 1953 in Concord, New Hampshire and grew up and lived most of his life in Henniker and Concord, New Hampshire. He was a graduate of Henniker High School, class of 1971. Throughout his life he spent many years as a drywall contractor and working in manufacturing before his retirement. He loved to play board games and to be online, he was an avid reader and you could always find him cooking or baking up something tasty. He enjoyed home improvement projects, talking and spending time with his kids and traveling. He had many great plans of places he and the family wanted to travel to together. He was the trusted confidant that his kids depended on whenever they needed advice or just to “be heard” and he was always there to listen. He loved his friends and family dearly, and he was always willing to help anyone in need and he will be greatly missed by those who loved him.
Ric legally changed his name a few months before his death in 2019 to honor his biological father and their family name, becoming an Addario. This was something he wanted to do for many years! He included Avery in his new name to always be tied to it, and Wildfire was his special name with Cat. His legal name at death was Antonio Avery Wildfire Addario.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Morse and father, Antonio Addario, as well as his sister, Gloria Morse. He is survived by his wife, Catherine “Cat” Addario; his daughter and son-in-law, Kirsten & Kyle MacArthur of Bow, New Hampshire; his daughter, Jessica Flanders of Sanbornton, New Hampshire; his son, Joshua Avery of Laconia, New Hampshire; and his stepdaughters, Trisha Hardy of Hillsboro, New Hampshire, Joanne Paulding and Amanda Paulding, both of Brooksville, Florida. He also leaves behind his seven grandchildren, Dylan, Aidan, Christopher, Isabelle, Ryan, Jaxon and Brady. He is also survived by his siblings, Nancy, Toni, Larry and Clifford; along with nieces and nephews.
A Celebration Of Life will be held from 1:00-5:00pm, Sunday November 3, 2019 at the Eagles Club, 36 South Main Street, Concord, New Hampshire.
