TUCKER, C. “Corky” Raymond, 81, of Brooksville, Florida and formerly of Orchard Park, New York, passed peacefully Friday, June 7, 2019.
He was born June 28, 1937 in Lackawanna, New York and came to Brooksville 15 years ago from Orchard Park. He was superintendent of Hillcrest Cemetery with 30 years’ service. His family worked at the cemetery for four generations, and he often left school early to help his Uncle dig a grave. He served as President of the Cemetery Association of WNY. A car-lover, he owned C & C Motors for ten years. He was a basketball star in school, earning a scholarship to Alfred University. During the Cold War he volunteered for the Army and spent 18 months in Germany.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Roberta Mary McGrath; his beloved sister, Nancy Whetstone (Prof. Robert) of Lafayette, Colorado; children, Elizabeth Merrell Gross (Derek), Carl Tucker (Donna Amadori), Clay Tucker (Donna Serra), Sarah Bless (Doug) and Rebecca Kaiser (Keith); 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; niece and nephew. He is preceded in death by his former wife, Joan Woolgar Kabel; son, Christian Tucker (Maria Gambino); stepdaughter, Maureen Roselyn Jendraszek.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Orchard Park, New York this fall.
