Annedore Schaffer

Schaffer, Annedore, age 86, peacefully passed away on December 2, 2019.  A long-time resident of Spring Hill, Florida, she was born in Astoria, New York, the only child to Friederich (Fred) and Anna Sickmann Sasse.  She now joins her beloved husband Frank whom she has so missed for the past 24 years.

 

Since her husband’s death in 1996 Annedore has proudly served as President of the Spring Hill Stroke Support Club and has helped countless families that have been affected by a stroke like her husband.

 

Annedore the matriarch of the family is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Carl Schaffer and partner Jacki Lynn of Paradise Valley, Arizona, Alan and Tauni Schaffer of Spring Hill, Florida, Gary and Traci Schaffer of Henderson, Nevada; daughter: Gale Ryan of Mountain Top, Pennsylvania. Also, by her grandchildren, Randall, Magen and Jonathan Schaffer and Tara, Kristen, Jocelyn and Daniel Ryan.

 

A public wake will be held from 2-4 &6-8pm, Thursday, December 5th, 2019 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel.  Funeral services will be conducted 10:00am, Friday, December 6th, 2019 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 6193 Spring Hill Dr, Spring Hill, FL 34606, with a luncheon to follow. Annedore will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, at 1pm.

 

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Spring Hill Stroke Support Club c/o Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
