Anita was one of the kindest, caring, and sincere people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Words can't express the loss I feel as a result of her passing. I can only take comfort in knowing the relationship she had with our Lord Jesus Christ and the she is now in His loving arms. Anita will be missed in so many ways. She was a great friend, and awesome colleague, and a wonderful person to everyone she knew!

I will miss Anita's smiling face and her willingness to always be helpful. She will be sorely missed at Saint Leo. My deepest sympathy to the family. May God bless you and be with you during these difficult days. We always wonder why he calls a good individual so early in life. But I'm sure she is smiling lovingly down upon you.

I have only known Anita a very short time since I just joined the faculty in July. Her assistance, smiling face and beautiful personality made my transition into the Saint Leo Family very pleasant. Anita will be greatly missed here and while I will miss her I will remember her wonderful smile and capturing personality. My prayers are with you and all of her friends and family. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend any of the services.

Anita was such a ray of light in Ithaca College's Alumni Hall, and in the lives of everyone who worked there. The world is a more somber place without her smile and ready laugh. I always enjoyed hearing about her cats and comparing stories about our pets. She will be missed by so, so many people. So sorry I'm in Ithaca and can't attend any services, but all of you will be in my prayers.

I was blessed to work with Anita at Ithaca College for several years. We had a blockbuster team and Anita was the glue that held us together and helped us succeed. She was a hardworker but also hysterically funny. I was lucky to have her as a colleague and a friend. My condolances to her family; we will miss her very much here in Ithaca.

So shocked and saddened to hear of Anita's passing...I still cannot believe it. Mr. & Mrs. Costa & Gene....I know those are the same thoughts and feelings you are having at this time as well. I lost a very dear friend, and you lost a loving and precious daughter and sister. I met Anita when she joined the staff of Alumni Relations at Ithaca College and we bacame instant buddies. We got along so very well as co-workers and were fast friends after hours especially when it came to going out for pizza or sharing her homemade macaroni & cheese! I moved to California about 5 yrs. ago, but we continued to keep in touch via e-mails & phone calls. I looked forward to sending her a small package for her birthday and Christmas...it was always something Snoopy...and I know now, that anytime I see a Snoopy card or other item, the first thought I will have will be of Anita. May God bless you all and keep you safe in His loving arms. I share your loss....Wilma Miller

Dear Mr and Mrs Costa and Gene,

Words seem inadequate to express the sadness we feel about the sudden loss of Anita. Although no words can really help to ease your loss, just know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

R.I.P. Anita. I hired Anita to be my administrative assistant in the Office of Alumni Relations at Ithaca College in 1994, and she remained at IC for many years after my departure. I was blessed to work with many great assistants through the years, but Anita was one of the best. After we left Ithaca, my daughter Emily and I were always assured of a cheery greeting from her whenever we returned to campus for Homecoming or Reunions. A Jersey Girl to the core, Anita grew on Ithaca, and it on her. You left us far too soon, my friend, and you will be missed!

It's impossible to believe that Anita is no longer shining her fierce, bright, loving light in this world. I knew Anita as a co-worker during our shared time in Alumni Hall at IC, and she was such a hoot. Dedicated, hard-working, quirky (in the very best of senses), fiercely loyal, and oh so funny. She was taken far too soon. We are all so lucky to have known her. My deep sympathies to her family.

I am so saddened to learn of Anita's passing. I was a student worker in the Alumni Office at IC. We became friends, we even took a class together. She came to my performances and was always so supportive. We'd been exchanging Christmas cards these past few years. I pray for you, her family. As hard as this must be, you are blessed to have had such an amazing woman in your life. We all are.
